Anand is a guru of power plants, power projects, and engineering consultancy.

Anand has more than 50 years of experience in a variety of powerplant projects like waste-to-energy, natural gas thermal plant, coal-fired thermal plant, and solar photovoltaic project.
Currently he is rendering advisory services to local medium & small-scale industries in Gujarat, India.

Previously, he has worked with Torrent Power Limited in Gujarat in the capacity of Executive Director responsible for establishing a suitable power plant and selection of the most suitable technology. He zeroed in on a natural gas-based power plant, India’s only Green Power Plant. Due to this, Torrent Power Limited could sell Carbon Credits in the world market (under Kyoto Protocol) and the company could recover a good fraction of the power plant cost in just three years.

He also worked as a freelance consultant to KYCR Cold Rolling Mill at Chittagong, Bangladesh. He was involved in the investigation of the problem of unstable power supply from the national grid resulting in huge losses to the cold rolling mill and suggesting a remedy.

Before that, he served Larsen & Toubro Limited, India’s biggest engineering conglomerate, as CEO of Power Plant O&M Business Unit and paved the way for the company to enter the O&M business.

Anand also worked for 27 years in India's largest aluminum manufacture, HINDALCO in the operations and maintenance of thermal power plants and in-house project management pertaining to four generating units.
